Abstract:Objective To analyze the application of novel anti-tumor drugs in our hospital, so as to promote clinical rational use of drugs. Methods Patient medical records involving novel anticancer drug usage between July 2022 and June 2023 were retrieved from the hospital information system (HIS) for analysis and synthesis. Results A total of 1 411 prescriptions were retrieved, of which 116 were irrational, with an incidence rate of 8.22%. The main types for irrational prescriptions were exceeding the indications, dosage, and solvent selection specified in the drug label, failure to indicate the results of genetic testing, inadequate pretreatment, and inappropriate combination of drugs. Conclusion There are some irrational situations in the application of novel anti-cancer drugs in our hospital. Physicians and pharmacists should make joint efforts to promote the rational use of anti-tumor drugs in clinical practice.
